Got a problem on Mrs Steve_B's biza at the moment, every so often when she uses the passenger side indicators the relay clicks very quickly, 2 - 3 times faster than when it's working normally and the lights inside and outside the car do not work, reset the indicator and try again and they're ok. I've had a search on here for faulty indicators but all i get as a result is BMW related threads :D anyone got any ideas?

I reckon it's the relay and not the switch, as the relay always clicks but, doesn't operate the lights, I'm not sure where in the car they are so a hint on that would be helpful, also if it's the relay are they ones you can pick up from hafrauds or is it a special SEAT relay?

sounds like either a dodgy connection somewhere between the relay and the bulbs, or the relay is buggered. if both sides are now doing it then i' be very surprised if its not the relay

let us know how you get on bud

Swapped the indicator & wiper stalk assembly in the end. Looking at the state of the switch contacts it seems they get full of sh1te and then don't make a good contact. Only took around 1.5 hours, most of which was trying to work out how to get the airbag off. Earnt me some gold stars off the other half so not too bad a days work :D
