Doddington Park

Is anyone going to Doddington park for the BTCC at the end on July?

I've not been before and wondered what are peoples views of the circuit.

doddington is only 2 mins from lincoln but i was talking to someone at work and we might be going to it will have to see bit nearer the time though

Sorry I'm being a numpty I used to live on Doddington Park (a housing estate in Lincoln) and I think my fingers went into auto mode when typing it.

Yep Donnington Park is what I meant.

I see the other forum is planning a big get together there, with parking inside the circuit.

we went a couple of years ago to Donny for the BTCC showdown, where Thommo took the title from muller by 1 point

We found the best viewing to be on the in-field at the old hairpin. You can see the action from coming down the Kramers, right round to the back straight.
The other place we watched from was the esses, can't see anything else, but you do see a lot of paint swapping

I dont think there will be a problem regarding number of cars from here going, last year i think we near on had 40/50 cars. Something which other forums can only look at with pure green envy.

Its Croft BTCC 1st, but im sure after that all efforts will be put in as always to ensure we get appropriate parking, Have faith.

Also the view from outside Hollywoods (the curve after the first corner at the top of the Craner Curves) is good. You can see the round Redgate (first corner), go down the Craner Curves, round the Old Hairpin and up under the bridge towards McLeans. It's possible to make them out on the horizon going up towards Coppice as well. Last year we tried sitting on the wall at the Old Hairpin, but it wasn't that great to be honest.

Just watch out for the staffs lot going they can be a noisey bunch or anyone wearing a pink tshirt.
