Had an issue with he motor but not sure, to me it sounds as simple as a leak but im worried as leaving no patches. Basically a couple of weekends ago, i was planning to do alot of driving, so doing the sensible thign i checked my oil, and coolant levels, brake fluid etc etc. Hd to put abit more oil in but hat was it.
Basiaclly i went to the coast and it wasnt even a hot day, it rained in fact, but was sat in stationary traffic for around 30 mins just stop starting constantly (not turning engine off)
All of a sudden "bleep" "bleep" "bleep" looked at the gauges thinking it was petrol but it was my temp gauge, red light flashing at me, bu the temp was only just abit over 90.
I immediatly pulled over and my coolant tank the coolant was wayyyyyy down below min, i mean i had topped it up the week b4. Anyways fans were on, i turned the engine off and left it for half hour or so. Checked it after when the engine had cooled and coolant was on max mark??? Wots going on?? All week after it was fine, normal temp, coolant level ok, but then yesterday morning b4 a long journey i checked coolant and it was on min. Now, it hasnt been leaving any coolant pathes anywere at work or home, where is it going?? is it possibly leaking but dripping on hot and evaporating?? or am i looking at a head gasket?? i was under the impression that water can leak into the engine if the head gaskets knackered?? but then it doesnt overheat so i dont know?
