DIY TDI Remaps

Hi Gents,

I have a Seat Leon SE 110 TDI I am looking to get remapped. I understant they are usually done through rolling-road reprogramming, but there are also companies who will remap the engine with a standard upgrade package based on your original engine.

Surely just an upload of a new ECU program shouldn't be difficult, or dangerous assuming the program is correct (maybe based around the programming of the TDI 130 engine?).

I have a VAG-COM cable, is there anywhere I can get these ECU upgrades to download?

Long shot I know :D
Cheers

nope, its not just a file you push down a cable, diesel remaps can be done from 200 quid + pay the money and at least you have some comeback.

You risk a new ECU if you dont have the knowledge and good equipment.

Something as simple as a voltage drop can cause you big problems. The 130pd is different set up all together.

What year is your car?

Ah, I understand... The car is a 2003 model...

Would you mind PM-ing me a quote on a remap? I'm based in Wolverhampton so can travel to you if that saves on the expense! ;)

...or if you're in the NW, and you're free tomorrow afternoon, we are probably going for our Upsolute group buy (via the www.ukpassats.co.uk forums).
I'm sure you'd be welcome to drop in.

Cost is estimated to be around £250.
