I think if you are looking to spend £10,000 on a car you should really go and have a good look round it before considering a purchase. If you cant make it, you could use the 'AA' or 'RAC' car inspection service, where they inspect the vehicle and present you with a full report on its condition, for peace of mind. Costs a bit though.

Another thing to consider, the warranty might only be with that one garage where you buy the car (if they are independant) - therefore they might only accept the work to be carried out at their on-site garage, if any problems come up with the car in the future. Worth asking about.

I've got to agree with this. If you're going to spend that much then best to go look at it before you hand over your money. My warranty is also only with the plaec I brought it from. I doubt I'll ever use it, being 200 miles away.
