Test driving a FL Leon FR TDi next weekend intend to add metalic paint, bluetooth and convinence pack, wha sort of discount can/have people been able to get?

It's either a FR TDi or a BMW 118d SE Coupe, Leon FR is our top choice due to extra leg room and I have had 2 pre FL and 1 FL 5door 1er's so fancy a change. Wife finds the A3 too bland and I am not keen on the Golf.

Had a look at the BM X1 but felt it was too expensive and to be honest interior build quality was a notch below the 1 series and poor boot space for it's size. Looks ok in the flesh.

I got £2k off mine, but that was 2yr ago when they had cars sat at the docks.

I think there isnt much built stock sitting around at the moment

speak to irfan @ M1 autos or if he's still there Simon @ autoworld Chesterfield, that's who did my deal.

Thanks for that best I have found on the net is 1.5K

I may be wrong, but I don't beleive Irfan is still with M1.

Deal drivers and Seat Cars Direct seem to be the cheapest at £1800-£1900 discount so gives me an idea of what I cn get if we do th deal. Thanks for the help.

I tried to get a discount on my new fr order the other week, the only thing the dealer was prepared to do was take off a measly £160 from the custom paint

I would walk at that discount, in the end they either want to sell a car or not. Some Audi dealers have got very arragant recently not offering discounts. My last new car came from UK New Cars and I tried to get two local dealers to match but they could not. So just picked the car up from a main dealer in Northhampton via UK Nw Car's and if Derby won't match I will do the same via deal drivers or Seat Cars Direct.

PX can go to a trader/dealer or I will sell privatley in the end a few phone calls can save ££££££

I got about £1300 off mine along with 18's,bluetooth and a really good finance rate. I suppose I could have pushed for more.
It's difficult to know by how much though especially when your looking at other cars aswell. I did notice a change in the sales reps attitudes...alot more aggressive in their tactics! A sign of the times? I'm happy with what I got though.

I new my old car would not get through the MOT so wanted to get the scrappage deal. Not sure this helps but I was slightly suprised when I rang four local dealers in August with the clear requirement on new Cupra. Not one would budge anything at all and getting matts free was a struggle.

I got my 57 plate Leon FR TDI with 2500 on the clock for £13,300 on 0% finance so was pretty chuffed with that. They threw in 2 fully years warranty in too.

I went in to buy an Ibiza and the salesman pushed like crazy but i came out with a good deal.
