Hey guys i need to disconnect my battery to remove the airbag and steering wheel so i can replace the indicator stalks (going to retrofit cruise control)

For safety i need to remove the battery so i can "safely" remove the airbag but by disconnecting the terminal i am 100% sure the alarm will go off so does anyone know the procedure that stops the alarm going off.

Cheers,
Josh.

remembered something:

if you do it with doors unlocked it will not activate the alarm.

if the car is locked it will

edit: doors can be closed as long as they are unlocked.

remove the negative terminal.
