disabling front seat airbags?

possible?safe to do?
i have seen a rather mint fr leon breaking(full frontal,rear suspension shot too)
the interior looks as new,pretty sure it will fit into the octavia(fronts anyway) but obviously concerned about the airbags deploying for no reason.
the vrs doesn't have them at standard so can't "use" them.
any idea's?worth the risk?

As i understand it they're deployed via electric current sent from sensors in the car which is relayed via the ECU to the airbag. If they're not connected then they shouldn't deploy. If you have a severe enough crash that somehow they do go off, i would have thought that their deployment would be the least of your concerns.
