Diesel Can (jerry can) that fits under the false floor?

Has anyone found a fuel-can that fits under the false floor.

I embarrassingly ran out of diesel just 50 yards from the petrol station and had to go get 5 litres in a plastic can. The normal plastic 5l can that all garages have seems to be just a little bit too big to fit under the false floor.

Has anyone here botthered to look for a can that does fit under there?

Hi

You can get small fuel cans from garden centres and the like that only hold 3 litres. These are smaller in all dimensions. Ideal for a get you to the nearest garage within say30 miles.

Diesel Can (jerry can)

Any issues when you do run out of Diesel. i.e Air in the system etc.
Once you put Diesel in after running out, does the system prime itself.?

Do you relise that an actual jerry can (ie 20l US army) will fit in on its side no probs. You can get used ones for a tenner

The 3 litre one for just in case sounds good. I wondered if a bigger one might lie on it's side but it don't really need a big one.

It took a few goes to start but has run fine since. Slightly lower MPG from that tankful, only 41mpg this time. i'll usually get somewhere between 40 and 45.

I phoned the dealer when it had happened and they said don't worry it happens all the time. Just keep trying to turn it over until it starts. which is what I did.
