GASP?!

I m picking up my Eclipse Blue 130 Sport at the end of this month...cant wait...except for one thing. YELLOW Dial Surrounds??

SEAT, WTF!! yellow dials...blue car??

it has been discussed before, and like a good newbie i did the search first...but it seems it has never actually been answered. Sorry if it has and I missed it.

The yellow dials have GOT TO GO, there is no doubt about it...so whats the plan??

I have the same car-bought it 3yrs ago. First thing i did when i got it home was rip them out and colour code them!! Look well as i also did my centre console around the dash!!

Ever painted??

Its that easy.

1. Key the surface
2. Rub with cleaning solvent
3. Primer
3. Rub out any impurities
4. Prime again whilst howling to the wife for beer
5. Drink a few beers
6. Coat with chosen colour-lots of small, even coats to avoid runs
7. More coats
8. More beer
9. Few coats of laquer
10. More beer over night!!!!!!

Excellent, how did i not find that hey?

BUT...i think the pre '04 models are slightly different, from what i gather there are 2 extra dials and the rings that are around the dials pull off.

Yeah its just two extra dials, unclip them and mask off the relevant bits then go mad with a spray can

Well i only mentioned cos i am just bunging this set on ebay, and hpowever good you may be with a rattle can, you can never quite beat the OE look......
