Diagnosis*/Excess Pollution Light on Dash

Hi,
The Diagnosis*? Excess Pollution light has came on my dash, i first thought it would be because my flexi was knackered but just had this fixed and the light is still showing what could it be?

Aye mate the flexi on the down pipe just before the middle section goes over the front axle, was blowing and the flexi is positioned before the sensor goes into the exhaust so naturally i read the handbook at first and it said the light could be due to excess pollution, so i got it fixed and stil hasnt went off so I have o clue what may be wrong

The light comes up for any one of the sensors on the car, you need it scanned for fault codes.

Can I do this myself or will I have to take it to a garage or specialist garage?

no you can get vag com from ebay and it will give you the first couple of codes, you can then register it/obtain it for full codes and functions.
