Diagnosis/Excess of pollution light

The above light has come on for the first time on the way to work today. Can't find any info on the net anywhere. Need to get back to some work! Can anybody explain what it means and whether I should drive home (10 miles)?

I had this the other day too. According to the results I found on this forum, it could be any number of things, that light doesn't mean one thing only, it's a general 'you have a problem' light. Best thing to do is get it hooked up to VAG-COM and see what the exact fault is. Only that way will you know what's going on.
