Derv Doctor Dump Valves

Hi Peeps,

Has anybody ever purchased a Derv Doctor Dump valve for a diesel Seat?

I have a quote for atound £300.00 (alot cheaper than Forge) but i just wondered how good they really are. I know there are no benefits apart from a slight wooshing noise on a diesel, but i quite like the idea of having one.

If anybody has had any experiences please share!

IMHO a waste of money chap, spend it on an exhaust, (cat back) that will give you a slightly louder turbo whistle.

Your a brave man admitting you had a dump valve on your diesel car mate on this forum.

lol indeed.

KEW - no performance benefits are gained on a diesel as they dont have a throttle body to stall the turbo between changes. TDIS dont need dump valves. Have it only if you want to look silly IMO

i think you realise how sad they are when you see the set up procedure to set how long the DV opens for on a timer, nice!

Am i the only one who loves the noise the turbo on the TDi makes, mine is so loud, drive along and get it on boost then let off and you get a loud whoooosh then half a sort of waste gate sound, i love it. I also love the sound of all the gas coming out of the exhaust if you pull from low revs and hold at about 3k in 3rd gear. Is it bad to like the sound of the howling tdi turbo, god i am sad

Nah mate, i love the sound of mine. my turbo howls and whistles like a good un, and the milltek non resonated system is fantastic.

How good are non standard exhausts on Diesel cars? Are the benefits that good?

Where did u get your miltek from?
