Delete N75 Fit Bleed Valve - ok ?

I believe my N75 valve is playing up as I'm getting boost surging (std 1.8T).

So instead of buying a new one at £60 why can't I simply fit a £25 Forge bleed valve ?

I understand I can't raise the boost by much before the ECU interferes but surely its a worthwhile mod.

Thanks

Sadly it doesn't work like that... the ECU needs to control the boost (or think that it is)

Ok I guess I'll just go for the 'uprated' N75 of a J or H.

All the old posts mention Vagparts who are no longer going, so can I get them from GSF / ECP or are the main dealer only ?

You don't have to (or want to) get a different version - I would strongly suggest getting the one that your car is expecting.

I can't find it on vwspares website, but I'd try dave @ sere motors - he can be really cost effective for genuine parts
