mate of mines just swapped his stereo & cd player & gave me the standard head unit & 6 cd changer from his Cordoba SX. Trouble is he'd not had the car long & when he bought it, he wasn't given the stereo code. I've tried both in my car & cd changer works fine. The stereo lights up but just says 'safe' (I'm assuming it needs decoding - does anyone know how I go about this - I imagine taking it to a dealers they'll charge me for it. Can I source something off tinternet for free? Mine's already got the same equipment so I'll be flogging both soon - how much do you reckon I'd get for them?

you'll need to go to the dealer, give them the reg of the car it came from, show proof that you've bought it and they'll charge you £10 for the code.

You could also try Chesterfield Car audio on Derby Road in Hasland
