can anyone recomend decent wiper blades for the cupra. the standard ones i've got are mince especially at night - everything is a blur! nearly terminated a poor old man tonight! :drive2:

also, what are the dilution rates for the seat washer fluid - can't see any figures on the bottle.

I'm looking at getting some aero jobs for mine. Supposed to be much better.

I belive the ones off an R32 and other VW models fit.

Pay day today so I may get down the VW dealer!

Hi mate,

I think the rear wipers are particularly poor so I replaced them with an aero wiper. I put a picture and details of a website to buy 'em from here:

When did you last replace the wipers? They normally only last a year, but the very hot and dry spell we've just had will have dried the blades out, so they will need replacing sooner.

I found that using the Bosch 21/19AS kit, and replacing them every year gave the best results. Other brands work well, like Valeo, again as long as you keep replacing them. Aero wipers are better, but still need the blades renewing every year.

Simon.

Valeo Aero conversion wipers are a very good upgrade and cheaper than getting vw aero's .

I have a set on my ibiza which you can see on sunday at the pod if interested.

Seconded. Replaced standard all round with Fabia wiper on the rear, and the Bosch ones on the front. Absolutely massive improvement. Noticed I have a chip in the windscreen now though... :(

i went down to my local autoglass workshop yesterday as i have about 4 small chips on my windscreen (nothing to worry about they said) and they do a free wiper check and discounted rates on the Bosch ones with free fitting. No more smears!!! Ideal.

cheers for all the info folks.
