me and phil had this 'quarrel' a year or so back and I was saying my Cupra had a decat and no problems whatsoever...

However, after about 9 months with it fitted, the pre lambda sensor was shot and lights started appearing. A lambda sensor is extremely expensive, so together with the cost of the decat, its way more expensive than just doing the sensible thing from the start; buy a sports cat from one of the known brands, blue flame, supersprint etc

yes phil you were right...man enough to admit

Ahhh, reuvers, i worded my reply for you, the use of "probably" was aimed at you as you did have some success with it.

hehehe yeah but in the end it wasn't worth it imo.

Sensor breaks because its constantly reading incorrect figures/flows

although ricardo has a point with what he says. I even know a fellow here who got both mapped out and his maf as well...(that last one isn;t a bad option if all works well seeing as mafs are prone to break; i think we've pretty much all noticed on here :wtf:)

I got my Blueflame decat fitted and full system and i love it, the sounds awesome and pops and spits flames quite a bit :) A few of my mates have de-cats, and havent had anyproblems at all and they've been on for quite a while.

As much as decats are awesome to have, they are still a pain in the arse when it comes to MOT's, unless you can take it off and do it yourself its always going to be in the back of your mind. Hnece why i went for a sports car, best compromise really.
