Decat question - Sensors

I have done a search but didn't find exactly what i was after so here goes

When you decat, can you do either of these things to stop cat errors and CEL coming on.

1.) remove the second o2 sensor from the exhaust system and make it breathe "fresh" air so the engine thinks that the cat is amazing

2.) put a resistor on one of the sensors (not sure which one as i am not sure which one you'd need it on) to make the second sensor read less pollutants than the first one.

think i have done my cat in by driving the rest of the 10 miles to work after a constant misfire occured due to a dead coil pack and i have a garage who can get my car through an MOT without a cat. So i am thinking a decat and downpipe from ebay is £100 which is wayyyyy less than a cat

Neither of those two things work as far as I know, the only way to cure the problem(s) is to find a remap that can remove the sensors use.

i guess i'll just have to keep clearing the engine code errors till i get a remap

your car will run like a pig if you dont sort it soon as the ECU is being told theres too much fuel and is leaning off the mixture

actually its wierd

i cleared the code and it now runs better than it ever has.

almost feels like when i had the trial apr remap.

anyway its ok for the time being and i keep checking it for codes and so far its clear.
