Morning all.
My car, Leon Cupra 300 went in for its service yesterday at my local dealer. Last year, and 8000 miles ago it had an advisory the front pads were 70% worn, and recommended front disc and pad replacement at over £700. Planning on doing this myself I didn’t take up the offer. Yesterday, a year and 8000 miles since the last service I had an advisory the front brake pads were 70% worn and recommended front pad change only at just over £300. Seems worrying to me the difference in advice, and someone who had no mechanically knowledge could have spent £700 last year needlessly early, and in my opinion a bit overpriced for front discs and pads
