Hello just been reading an article in Autocar which states SEAT UK are considering a dealer fitted power upgrade to 300 bhp and LSD to compete against the new Focus RS and to comply with the Dunlop Sport Maxx Cup modifications. No mention of when or how much though !

A high ranking manager within SEAT UK told me over 2 years ago that they were actively interested in promoting dealer fit modifications including remaps. Though not much happened other than the Aero kits on everything policy.

However given the current climate for car sales, and the dealers struggles maybe someone is finally getting a bit radical with the ideas at Blakelands.

We shall see in time no doubt, but don't get too excited until we see a press release from SEAT. :)

I would wait for the official news as there are various "stories" that come up and most never turn into solid facts. Be nice if they did do it though.

I doubt many dealer mechanics could successfully crack open a gearbox & get it working again.

Take it out, jetwash it, put it back again. Easy.

Sounds to me like SEAT wanted to remind people that the Cupra exists as it seems to get missed out of hot hatch group tests, so they decided they could get a bit of free publicity...
