Ok cheers guys, think i will try the golf one and do it myself. what are the flanges did you fit those on yours crezz?

Depending if your car has had the downpipe or cat changed before you had it.... you may find it hard to fit the golf one.

Because if you got the standard (from factory) downpipe and cat then they one complete system. So you will need to cut the cat off the downpipe and then weld the flanges onto the downpipe to be able to fit the de-cat pipe.

A custom exhaust company will change £70-£90 I guess. If you live 30mins or so from one go and get a price, might cost a lil bit more than £40 but saves you the headache and if you gotta cut the cat out you just wasted £40 on a pipe.

i thought id risk it and go back to MIJ in walsall. last time i went they were gash and i had nothing but agro with my cat back system but they seemed to be back to there friendly self and did a good job.

havnt had a chnace to open it up yet but from the litltle go i did have on the way home it seemed a bit more raspy and seemed to respond a bit better.

dont forget to use stainless steel nuts & bolts if you're going to change it every MOT (Unless you have a friendly MOT tester!) Have you looked at Sports CAT's??
