Hello just back from banzai day at crail.

Managed a 14.4 1/4 mile @ 103.2mph

Delighted, but very hard to get power down. On my first race i killed a tuned skyline gts with 4 up and a full tank

Can anyone give me tips on how to get the powere down ? I tryed ESP on and off but cannot get consistant lanches.

Seems like a massive terminal speed for an LCR.

Time is okay though, what mods are you running?

Since when were you allowed to 1/4 mile with passengers?

The trick to get the power down is to feed the throttle in gradually rather than go full throttle, as soon as you feel it slip, back off and then on again!

The 14.4 run was done on my own.

The car is standard, but....... i was told buy dealer it had be remapped, but i doubt it.

I managed to sneek 4 up in the leon on my first run but then got told off

Even with a remap mate, it aint going to be doing 103mph terminal speeds.. sorry. Something seriously not right with Crail's speed calculator...
Nice one anyway.. Get yourself down to Pod at some point mate.. Alot better set up there..

Calm down dude:lol:

The big boys play at santapod, its a mickey mouse strip at crail and yes i have been seeing as im from dundee :bleh:

The times coming from there are no way comparable to those at santapod!

103mph terminal with 4 up and full tank of fuel, get a grip! How on earth did he manage to run with passengers? Like i said MICKEY MOUSE!!!!

Go round all car forum sites and its the same opinion, crail is a joke.

All the scottish lot ie (Crail users) get frustrated when someone bashes the strip because they cant be arsed bringing their cars all the way down for a weekend to santapod.

Like i said im scottish and have visited pod plenty of times. Crail is a joke :p

threatening behaviour, give yourself a shake.

The closest one i can find is a 13.9 @ 101, which is pretty close & i'm sure there are more.

The way car is mapped the peak power and torque are at the same point roughly 5500rpm unlike most other maps which get peak torque low down the revs, don't know if this can explain my results a bit better but i makes sense.

Yes isnt that with an additional 75bhp nitrous from didgy.

Not me that needs a shake, you've obviously fallen out the bed the wrong way this morning.

You could be more tactile rather than say ''Shut the **** up''

Go to any car forum site and they all rubbish claims from crail! Drive a few miles extra and come and play with the big boys at santapod, you'll enjoy it :p

I can guarantee an LCR would not be hitting 103mph terminals without nitrous or BT.

Like i said, come down for the weekend, you'll see what its all about;)

Aberdeen to santa pod is a fair run for a 1/4 day. Where about is santa pod?

I'll come have a play if you don't use the gas!!;) what you getting with and with gas out of interest?

Crail can get really windy sometimes so i'd say that must have an input on the times from time to time. Must of the times i've seen at crail are in line with other strips but i agree some days the terminals are better so the wind is one obvious reason for this.

WOW calm down Michy.

I know the times are as dodgy as... but if you had read the posts you will see that i ran the my fastest time on my own.

I also got told off for sneeking 4 up on the first run.
