Looks like some thieving little @*$" tried breaking into my car at some point over the last couple of days, noticed this morning the lock in the drivers door has had a screw driver or something similar in it, luckly they didn't actually get in although I can't get the key in the lock anymore so going to have the lock removed altogether, anyone else done this on there MK3 Ibiza?

if its the same as the mk2 mate its a 2 minute job i removed the locks on both sides (as on the mk2 there is a lock on each door at the front)

open the door and on the inside behind where the handle wud be, theres a rubber gromit about 3 inches down from the window.

remove that and its a screw iirc that u take out and the lock and barrel just come straight off.
then reverse to put the new handle back on and tighten the nut, gromit on. flushed looking door handle :)

it is the same as the above bud...most of the leon/golf lot do the delocking process and basically ur just removing the lock and stick the plastic cap on...luckily as opposed to the leon, if ur rcl battery died u would always have the boot lock handy

sorry it happened though, bet its gutting

Its a pain it happened but i'm just counting myself lucky really that they didn't get in and all its costing me is a new handle rather than what ever they could have stolen from inside the car.
Some pics would be good mate although sounds like it pretty easy but if you get a chance post some up please.
