Dad's getting an FR before weekend...

had a phone call today that my dealership is getting an FR TDi in before the weekend and that my dad can test drive it for a week or so! Excited or what!

The dealership sponsored a charity event my dad organised, and they knew we were waiting for the FR to come out. Plus we have bought 2 Ibiza's from them!

When do the press reviews come out on the new FR? More to the point, how long after the unveiling of the Cupra at the British Motor show, does that get some reviews?

UK Press day's aren't until the week of the motorshow.

Sadly we aren't having it for the week, but we have had it the past 3 hours and all I can say is wow!!! Car had 6 miles on the clock when we picked it up and was still very tight but the acceleration on it was immense! Had one wheel spin moment and a bit if tyre squeal but coped very well. Rides very well at motorway speeds and corners very well.

Now, dad has a 53 Plate TT Roadster 180bhp with 38k on the clock and they have offered him £14250 for it. However, he want's to get the sat nav one which would be another 16 weeks by which time they would have to re-nogiate the price so he has said no! Plus he hasn't taken into account anyway that there is a small area of scratches on the rear bumper where he hit a bin plus 3 alloy wheels are scuffed. What do you guys think?

I think a lot of people will go for the 18 inch versions. Could be a deal clincher when you're haggling!

Deal clincher at the moment is the sat nav and having to wait 16 weeks when they want to renogiate the part ex value of the TT. Otherwise dad woul dhave signed today for it.

There wasn't a front plate on the car, naughty naughty Only came off the transporter 3 hours before we picked it up

Sadly I didn't take any more pics, was too busy amazed by the accleration and handling!

Am I the first person on here to drive one then?

Those are the std wheels. Prefer the optional 18"s as per the recent press shots.
