DAB aerial (Hatch / ST) location

Fitting rear camera to ST and getting interference on the DAB stations, I know it will cause issues just trying to route most effective way, know the aerial is in the hatch / boot.

Looked on hatch I have can see additional lines / wires in glass on rear hatch window top drivers side 3 extra lines going towards the centre varying lengths assume this some sort of aerial but on the ST I also have no additional lines just the normal heated window lines..

Is Hatch to ST different for location of aerials both 18 model years and same variation DAB and normal FM aerials or are these 3 wires / lines unrelated

Did the wiring kit not come with some ferrite cores to reduce electromagnetic interference? They came with my nextbase kit, and spares can be purchased for Blackvue too, albeit packs of 10 are under £5 on eBay:

In response to the locations of antennas, locations should be the same for hatch and ST according to the workshop manual (attachment is from the ST manual). I have just had a quick physical check of the car too, because antennas were usually built into the side glass rather than rear screen on most of the estates that I’ve owned recently.

And as an afterthought, have you coiled up any excess wire?

If possible zig-zag the wire under the carpet/headliner (depending on which route you’ve opted for), rather than coiling which will amplify the interference.

Thanks for response it’s nextbase and I just laid the cable through the car at the moment to test, before routing

Was under impression some got better results going left or right though car or sills or roof lining but seemed to interfere already, yes I do have ferrite cores will be trying them later.

Seems the hatch has some little extra look like heated window wires top right (wife’s car) but my ST does not and nothing in the sides as like you I assumed that too... was assuming be the same and guess you have estate also... see pic hatch
