Cycle carrier

Hey, got ibiza mk4 and also enjoy abit of mountain biking but the only cycle carrier i can find that officially fits is the thule gutterless roof bars and then a cycle carrier. But most people ive spoke to say that the high mount halfords cycle carrier will fit as well.

The reason most dont fit is because of the tiny rear spoiler apparently!

Anyone got a cycle carrier? If so what one you got etc..

hi andy,

you can not use strap on carriers as it bends the spoiler. i would want to use a roof mounted one as its a pain to keep lifting the bikes on and off, so i put a towbar on and got a thule 902 carrier. see my thread in my siggy for pics!

the towbar with electrics was £140ish delivered and then i fitted it so there was no fitting cost

the rack was £180ish delivered

I had a roof rack for my Ibiza (Thule one which i picked up cheep) with two bike carriers and i must admit i used to hate lifting bikes on and off petrified that i was going to scratch anything. Tow Ball mount is the way forward.
