CV joints - get what you pay for?

Hi Guys,

need to replace my NS CV joint. I did the OS one a couple of years ago but can't for the life of me remember where or how much i paid for it. Probably either a VAG one or an ECP.

ECP do one for about 40 quid or one for about 100 quid. Not sure how much a VAG one is but what is the general feeling about the cheap ones? RUbbish and not worth it or good value? I'll probably only have the car for another year or two max.

I had replaced both my fronts 3 years ago from gsf. They are still going strong . Fraction of the price of the stealers.

I just got a couple of CV joint Gaitors from jandrcvjoints. Haven't used them yet so I can't say if they are any good, but they were cheap.
