cutting out problem

can someone please help me my cupra keeps cutting out normally under normal driving but then it wont start again will turn over but wont fire has anyone else had anything like this before would be gratefull of any ideas getting ear ache from other half now as it always seems to happen when she is in the car

Get it scanned on a diagnostic! pin point the problem.

Hello mate, I had a similar problem with my old mk3 gti a few years back the car would just shut down while driving then take ages to restart I took it to my local VW & one clued up bloke said it was a relay ( sorry cant remember which one,i think it was the starter relay ) hope this helps a bit.

thanks for the offer unfortunately miles away from you. am in north lincolnshire had it on vag com still not found the problem getting really p****d off now has been really good car up till now.

thanks for the advice have already changed the two main relays and it is still doing it mite have to get the matches out soon!
