cuts out on idle when cold

If you start engine fine will stay on 1000revs, but when you have driven it and take foot off gas the rev counter dances around more than Wayne Sleep!, occiasionaly you see the battery light flash as it nearly cuts out, other times just cuts out. When engine warm fine just does it on cold. Problem got really bad and had the lambar sensor replaced but this has rstored it to the way it was, any ideas boys (and girls good recovery Degso).

You do not say if it's petrol or diesel. I have a 20 vt petrol model and had similar problems to yours, turned out to be a loose electrical plug connection going to the mass air flow meter( the connector block on the meter was loose ). Re made new conections and vehicle has performed OK ever since. Worth a try!

It is indead the 2.0 petrol. I will give it a good, cheers mate.
