Would having a custom box made up for the rear of my Tdi cause any problems. I assume loss of back presure can only be a prositive.

Reason i ask is i am seriously thinking of going for the seat rear valence and this comes with the otion of having a dual exit exhaust on it, so was thinking of that as an option, ad would 2 guys in essex to make it up for me.

you may not affect any back pressure at all if you have to pass the gas down a convolulted route.

No problem with replacing the rear silencer. Actually the last box is the more restricting one so off it should go and put a better flowing one instead.

Why not just lop the mufflers off completely! Goto www.tdiclub.com and search for "Mufflerectomy".

Research on there has shown that virtually 99% of back pressure is by the turbo so modifying back boxes and cats are almost useless. You do get a nice noise of the turbo however and it will spool slightly quicker. TDi's dont get very noisy without mufflers so long as you keep the cat on.

same as the petrol FR i had, will leave exhaust at the moment, no engine playing as still happy with the performance at moment, but getting my wheels back tomorrow.

So do we get a passenger thrill drive when you come up the pod.

As long as i can get the clutch done next saturday at JBS then yep, not a problem mate.Spoke to them today and its all good, apart from they said that the pipework i have with the forge fmic is a bit smaller than i should have really and also they said that the dynatwist was pretty restrictive and to get rid of it for one of there BMG/BMC cold air induction kit. They also said to take it easy whilst the standard clutch is in because its right on the limit. Think its gonna be near 350lbft torque :funk: .Ill put a post up tomorrow and let everyone know what its like.

That would be Jason (devonutopia), he has a straight through exhaust with no boxes or cat.
