Hey guys so long story short like everything else I'm doing I dont like going with the flow and like making all my own custom items when I can for my car. I will be making a custom same side intercooler to go with the stock largeport AGU manifold for my 500+hp build. Along with using it for my stage 2 setup.
First off it wont be a double pass intercooler, it will be a vertical flow core. Similar to the one pictured, only thing is I'm trying to pick a size for my core. Some intercoolers I see are below, behind , and above the crash bar.... what setups do you guys have?
3.5" thick or 4.5" thick?
3" inlet / outlet good enough?
How wide and how tall would you go?
I thought maybe the top end tank could sit above the crash bar. Just ideas check out photo and just imagine bigger in every way because I dont think a smaller core like that can support enough cooling for 500hp. Oh and it will be with e85 as well for cooling the air charge.
For example Length x Height x Thickness
22" x 14" x 4.5"
30" x 10" x 3.5"
Just looking for opinions!
Thanks in advance guys!
