i know this has been done before, but wanted some new views. Anyone got it and has anyone had clutch slip, as i want to get a map and blow away the petrol pretenders.

custom code and most others that are around will pretty much give you the same results. :) On a standard clutch it is probably advisable to keep bhp down to around 170, and torque to around 270-280 lb/ft. (for a pd130 this is)

Ive got a slighty harsher Revo remap, and have done +35k since, the cluth does slip, although only when provoked...

Guess its all because i rarely get out of 2nd gear in London :(

(it does slip alot on the motorway, but can be driven round)

some get slip some dont depends how agresive the map is and if the map give lots of low down torque ( more likely to slip) or very smooth torque curve.
on my petrol the clutch can slip sometimes but thats harsh map

cheers guys

i know this has been covered to death so thanks. By the way my fuel light came on with 20 miles left on the comp. Does that sound right as i thought it would come on much earlier. Another thing when i bought my car, the dealer said that it had a physical chip in it giving 160bhp. He took it out when i bought it. Anyone heard about one of these. I bet u wudn't get clutch slippage with that!!

They don't work as well by any stretch, they give the power but it smokes like mad. I had a tuning box for a little while and swapped it over for a stage 1 remap (with custom code as it happens for that one). Vastly quicker, much better fuel economy and it runs smoothly too :)

Gonna go a bit more crazy soon though :D
