i dont know weather to get another stg2 costom map at jabba or weather to try CUSTOM CODE, the resion why i asking about the two is all ive ever known is jabba maps that all ive had on both my cupras but some time they dont feel very smooth at all, it realy harsh sometimes and sometimes when i lift off the throtle its ever so slightly jerky now ive spoke to three people with a costom code map and they all have said how smooth they are, any had the two,

Hi there buddy i have had both jabba and custom code on the same cupra. When i bought the car it only had the jabba map on it and i was quite impressed with it, A former member on here had a standard one who later got it mapped using custom code and obviously we raced a few times and his used to leave mine for dead, well not quite but it was considerably quicker lol. So i then went to see jbs was impressed with their set up and decided it was custom code for me. Long term it has worked out well for me having decided to go the JBSo4 route, but there is no denying it on the jabba map the ko3s powered cars make good figures.

Thank you for the good praises Joe,

With Custom-Code they always aim to have a very smooth power delivery and holding power at higher rpm.

Also with the Custom-Code Phase 1-3 mapping they always like to keep their tuned cars within safe limits, as I always say what is the point of having a nice quick car if it breaks down every 2min.

Custom-Code now offer a mobile tuning service too if you are too far away from a local agent.

Mike

I was going to phone about this, but seeing as this subject has arisen, I'll post here in case other want to know.

My car has a k03s and a jabba map. I'm fitting a JBS IHI stage 1 kit this month and can't quite decide if I'm going back to jabba for the map or to custom code.

My ECU has a soldered in chip as its an early car.
Are you able to remove or reprogram my existing chip. The chip itself is removable, the holder is soldered to the board.

Obviously I'll need phase 3.
Finally is it true you require my car for three days? Jabba only want it for one day.

Thanks

As we work along side with JBS tuning their big turbo kits I would recommend coming to Custom-Code as we know the in's and out's of the kit.

Not a problem to remove the chip/board.

We quote 3days tuning but this can be reduced to 1-2days depending on your ECU number and software coding.

To do a full custom remap to get the very best gains in 1 day will be difficult.

Jabba vs CC....The rivalry:D

I've had both maps on the same car.

Jabba is more aggressive with a good whack in the back when the turbo spools, CC is more relaxed and progressive. Your car certainly feels quicker with the jabba mapping due to the good kick you get on spool up. Im sure it evens itself out though as CC holds a bit better top end and is quite a bit smoother through the revs.

Jabba mapped cars will make around 300-310lbft compared to around 280lbft on CC (K04), Dont let this alarm you though as the kkk turbos are peaky and the big numbers in reality are just spikes, up, then down pretty quick!

I'm sure they're as good as each other, jabba are renound for running quite lean mixtures, CC are renound for running rich mixtures.

I felt like jabba extracted the very best they possibly could from the car, perhaps a little too much (running fairly lean, high temps) And i felt like CC can be a bit conservative at times, (running too safe, with rich mixture)

I was/am happy with both the maps i have had. To say 1 is better than the other, i couldn't as its swings and roundabouts. Advantages and disadvantages in both maps!

Jabba do boost control though which i found a very nice feature :) I also never had any limp mode problems with jabba but do time to time get them with the CC map.

As good as each other is my opinion:)
