Cupra TDi MPG!

Can anyone else who owns a Cupra TDi please reply and state their combined MPG for their car as mine is only 36 MPG!! at the mo, admitedly my journey to and from work is only 15 miles each way through fairly congested roads!

Comparing this to what Seat states on their website and there is some discrepancies, just wondered if anyone else found theirs a little thistier than actually quoted!

Stop and starting can greatly affect mpg. I was doin some spirted driving earlier and average 34mpg!!!

Sounds about right for stop start rush hour driving.

yeah sounds about right for the traffic your talking about. take it on a nice long cross county run to check its ok, should return 53mpg at least, my friends one did with only 4k on it too, with cruise though.

Bit faster 47

Round london 29MPG in solid traffice upto 47 which is my PB

42 on the dash .. which I suspect is 40 real mpg

28mile commute, 5 miles open back roads, 75 dual for 20 miles, 3miles urban moving all the time.

Have managed 50mpg on this route when held up at 45-50 mph in the morning but always less on the non congested return.

Wonder if temperature is going to make a difference as it seems to take ages to get the water temperature up (5 miles or more).. poor/old design .. and during this time I bet you are having to over fuel.. was there not a tip about running at over 2k rpm as then you are nearer the peak efficency (happens at peak torque normally).. was experimenting with this with cruise control but not sure yet..

Oh on 216hp/312ftlbs from Star Performance with stock engine at 7k miles .. did not do enough pre chipping miles to know if it did anything but I doubt it...

work in 45 miles away mainly motorway and a roads. to work which is motorway then a roads i can get 56mpg on the way home which is other way round i can get 48mpg
