i have a TDi PD130 remapped to 170 and since the remap have noticed an increase in engine movement which i believe is down to the increase in torque.

i want to replace all 3 engine mounts with the OEM cupra TDi PD160 ones, does anybody have the part numbers for these please?

i have searched before anybody suggests the obvious :p

I don't know the part numbers but I do know someone is making an uprated Dog-bone mount for the ibiza which would reduce the movement of the engine and transmission when accelerating.

There's a thread about it on here somewhere...

thatnks for the suggestion!

Jabba do the Dog-Bone mount, but according to reports on Briskoda, its that hard it shakes the car on tick over and quite a few people have already taken them off within a few hundred miles!
i hate rattles and squeeks etc which that dog-bone mount will increase!
more vibrations = more rattles and squeeks!!!

thats why i want OEM.

Would be worth checking in ETKA whether the Cupra mounts are actually any different.
I seem to recall the dogbone mount at least was the same on 130s & 160s.

Its definatly worth getting the jabba mount i have it ok the car shakes on idle but i broke my chassi from not having one which set me back £800 the vibrating isn't so bad after a while and girls love it :D hahaha!! i didn't think the cupra ones were any different!!

I konow that the Dog-bone mount on the petrol cupra has a different part number to the desiel one. Maybe it has a better compound in it?

I doubt it, the TDI mount has to cope with a lot more torque trying to twist the engine off it's mounts....

Its the two side engine mounts that need doing, leave the rear one so it can move a bit...

Mine need doing as well as a FMIC, I popped my boost hoses 3 times the other day...

bear in mind that vibra-technics also make the dogbone for jabba, so all you will achive by changing the side mounts is MUCH more vibration and no reduction in engine movement... the side mounts bear the weight, the dogbone bears the twisting motion.. if you dont want the vibration, just get another OE dogbone, ive gone through 3 of them now, and the car does feel much better every time i put a new one on.

i did think the twist was controlled by the dog bone, thats why i ordered one from the dealer yesterday ;)

you should have gone for the uprated one, you will regret it if the engine twists hard enough in time you will have the same problem i did which was a snapped chassi its worth putting up with the vibrating, i thought the side ones were for petrols only???

wouldn't that have happened regardless of which dog bone mount you have fitted ?

ive got uprated engine mounts and rear dog bone mount and it does vibrate loads on cold start but when coldstart dies down it is fine does vibrate more but not ALOT! but hey i dont pay attention as im a performance freek id sit upside down in my seat if it gave me 10bhp :D

my engine mounts are CUSTOM MADE for now and i dont think they are available yet and thats probably a good thing as my turbo gaskets have blown again because the mounts still arent stiff enough im going to be getting them stiffened on the 17th of this month
