Anyone else had this problem? normally when its damp out and the engine is warm I have real problems starting the engine again, the management light comes on and it takes about 10 seconds to start, when it does go i have to gas it loads for it to kick in properly

Have you checked youyr maff sensor as a faulty one does not normally show up as a fault. If you have an engine light on it could mean other things though so you need to get a fault code reader to see what the code is specific to. Has your car been modified in anyway i.e. remaps, exhaust, injectors etc etc..?

You need to find someone with vag-com to read the fault codes off, that should point you in the right direction.
Stick a post in the vag-com forum and see if there's anyone nearby.

Having said that, you car should still be under warranty so why not get the dealer to have a look.
