cupra tdi air intake on a mk3 tdi sport??

can i fit the cupra air intake to my mk3 ibiza tdi sport,and will this give me more
bhp?

my car has been remaped to around 145-150bhp but would like bit
more power,someone said if i do the above i will get more bhp.

is this true? as im not the best with cars lol.

also were could i get it from and is this hard to fit,also what
panel filter would be best to.

i dont know if you can say there is a "best" panel filter, as plenty of guys swear by a variety of brands, although the Green Cotton seems to be the most popular (i have one ). There is also K&N, Pipercross and BMC.

Not sure about the intake, although having a larger intake should improve things for you. BHP gains are minimal, but coupled with a new filter you should get better responsiveness along with a nicer sounding motor!

The Cupra 160 intake is a moulded part specifically for the mk4/Polo/Fabia.
No it won't fit. All it consits of is a wider version of the standard airbox inlet pipe and a matching trumpet to enable it to fit the existing inlet on the front slam panel.
Have a search on here for the good old SCN '**** pipe mod' which is available from all good B&Q stores for much less than SEAT prices!!!

Ryan, as Andy has said its not suitable for you car. The air intake on the mk3s isnt as restrictive as the mk4s, it has a nice wide pipe looping back into the under arch/front wing section where a vortex of air provides good intake.

A good panel filter like the green cotton ones would be a good mod, will help the turbo spool up a little easier but your not talking about any real gains in BHP from intake changes on TDIs.

If youve had a remap, then if you want more power your looking at changing the injectors for more fuel and getting a map to take them into account. After that its changing the turbo.
