I did wonder whether the app issue was related to the new "mib4" in them ?. You'd have to check whether it was a mib4 issue on other brands in the VAG group or just a Tavascan issue.
I reckon before leaving the dealership you get the car logged in on your app so atleast the dealer gets it in as a delivery fault report. You might find customer service knows about it. Seems common reports of people finding they can't login on Seat / Cupra apps, I'd make the dealers jump through hoops till you get a solution.
Loving the electric stats you get on this website
All details and specs of the CUPRA Tavascan Endurance (2024). Compare price, lease, real-world range and consumption of every electric vehicle.

For the UK climate think you'd need a heat pump. I'd seen that they were being manufactured as an optional extra. Being able to get the heater on before you get in it on cold winter days feels that it has many attractions over an ICE. Need the app for that.
The ability to use the battery as a house invertor with the correct charger is a real plus for those on the so called "solar journey". What the solar energy people call it and wanting to sell batteries as well to take the charge off solar and the grid (some are Tesla batteries, they do a range for the uninitiated). Dynamic pricing you cost shift the grid prices or use your own solar. Saying that you'd need a lot of cells to charge the car up so likely to be mains.
With the cars fitted out as this one is suppose to be, powering the other way with the correct charger / invertor it can run the house (thats on the Tavascan infotainment screens, a toggle). Posted that screen video up with it in there. You can't sneeze at that in a power cut. Only a limited number of home chargers that will do this as I understand.
Forgetting heat pump in the house, just running a CH oil or gas boiler would have real benefits, we were off for 36 hours before Xmas. Real benefits for people in that situation. You could have the neighbours round who were all freezing to death also
. We have a gas hob, they hadn't least hot drinks and food, but no heating. Our solar panels are sufficient to run the house mid day in sun but you need a battery to inject 50 cycle for the invertor in a power cut. Started that solar journey already but opted not to have a house battery but would use a suitable EV and charger at some future point basically for times when there was a loss of power from the grid as an added bonus.
I know people like to moan about EVs but another advantage if you live in remote areas and the increase in storms and power cuts its your battery on the solar journey... well off to one side, but then the moaners often don't believe in climate change and net zero
.
So yes interested in the Tavascan for those benefits and as a possible successor to the
Ateca at some future point.
