Cupra Standard Centre Box

I' ve noticed i got a big hole in my centre box just before it joins the backbox.Took it to my mate who works in kwik fit who ordered me an exhaust for a 2.0 16v GTi ABF not realising till i got the car there that the exhaust is way too short so we checked the exhaust book in small print "wont fit Cupra". even tho i have an ABF engine

So he phoned another exhaust supplier and they said they got the exhaust what we needed and droped off the same centre box.

Before any one suggests a full exhaust system i am planning on selling it soon dont wont to put money in i wont see again

Any one experienced this problem before any help much appreciated

The cat pipe won't butt up against the centre silencer, it uses a sleeve clamp that breaches the gap that's left.

So it is the right part, you just need to get the correct sleeve.

Thanks for that mate, but the prob i have is at the back, my magnex back box comes out straight no bends like the back box in that pic, the centre box has the bend and there is no rear sleeve on my car if that makes sense. so the back part of the centre box is like a Z rather then a 90 degree bend and joins directly to the back box. I see your from Crowthorne me too where about you live?

Ah, I see what you mean now. So it would seem the back box has a bigger/smaller diameter pipe that will use a standard exhaust clamp, not the sleeve.

Yea i found supersprint do a centre section thats a staight through pipe no box for about 60 quid and another 14 for delivery but thats a 50mm bore not too sure how that will match up to my magnex i gonna have a look at magnex and see if they got bore and diameters on there site. I live down Wiltshire Ave got a kiwi yellow/green with graphite grey mk3 cupra wheels its been off the road for a bit but is booked in for a respray so hopefully will get all the little bits sorted before it goes up for sale. sorry dont have any pics but will try and get some soon
