hay folks,

just got my cupra remapped today and wow, it is superb...
went to STAR and put my car on the rollers standard and got 262bhp and 252 torque, then got the GIAC remap installed and it is not 309bhp and 312torque, i cannot beleive how smooth the pull is from 2500 all the way up to the limiter... i am going to post my graph tomorrow for you guys to look at..

must say jim at star performance is a top bloke and gave me a very good deal.

Got a bluefin for My Leon Cupra a few days ago. What a difference it made. Total different car and the sound of the turbo is amazing now.

Nice one! I would love to get a remap at somepoint but I am still running the car in and I can't really justify the outlay on a remap at the moment either. Oh well better start saving the pennies.

my car had covered 900 miles when i got it remapped, since then it has cover 200 very fast miles... i cannot tell you guys how good this map is but only compare it to the revo i had in my old LCR, it is soo much smoother than the revo and will pull all the way up to the limiter if you want it to go that far... as for the valet mode this option is a must, i got well over 300miles out of my last tank of fuel and it wasnt even in the red... the only other mods i have on my car are an forge recirc valve with atmospheric mount, and a set of h+R lowering springs, speaker upgrade. the only other mod i am going do to my car will be a forge twintercooler and MAYBE a miltek cat back...

so if anyone is thinking of a remap i would 100% recommend the GIAC from Star performance

By the way, did you get your wheels re-painted black? Looks really nice on that side profile pic. Makes me fancy the side skirts, darken the wheels when tey get re-furbed (after original tyres wear out) and add the springs too.

I think Owen bought the car from Arnold Clark mate, the one with the leather retrim and black alloys they had done.

yeah i bought it from arnold clark:censored: about a month ago... the wheels are the standards ones but done in metallic black which i think looks the buisiness but is not to everyones taste, i would recommend anyone with a cupra to get a remap as it unleashes soooo much power and especially much needed torque, dont get me wrong it is not a slow car standard but when the remap is installed it goes like sh1t off a shovell... the springs are a great mod also as they make the car look alot wider which i think it needs... the only other thing i want to do to the car now is the forge TWINtercooler and a set of hubcentrics.

it put the power down to the road very well, bearing in mind a front wheel drive car is never going to be as good as a 4 wheel drive car but in my opinion it is exceptional. dont get me wrong it will spin in first gear if i plant it front a stand still put after that it sticks to the road really well... another thing i must add is that compared to all other front wheel drive cars i have driven the new leon has a very good traction control system as it does not kill the power to much unlike my old lcr when in the wet it would kill the power completely then give you most of the power back again, where as the cupra just takes enough away until you get a bit of grip then feeds it back in slowly...

top car IMHO
