Cupra R Radiator fan

hello guys got a 2002 leon cupra r 210bhp revo map dv ect . The problem is the fan doesnt come on when i sit in traffic therefore overheats. Have changed the radiator switch but no joy has new bottle as well. Going to the garrage for electric checks on wed but just wondering if anyone had similar problems? and how costly it was to fix

so to confirm, it does not come on at all?

there is a slowspeed fault thats fairly well known. this means the fans do not come on at slow speed only at full speed!

Have you looked at the fuses on top of the battery? - id check this first.


replacing fans is a laboutintensive job. a dealer will cost lots. (depending on fault)

no doesnt seen to come on at all if it comes on at high speed i cant hear it .Fuses on top of battery u say ill check it out. cheers

You can always test the fans by putting 12v across the relevant terminals to see if they spin up.
