Posted here as I don't seem to be able to post in the SEAT parts section.

Right, checked out the VAG parts website for pedals. In the SEAT section they had these - described as golf 25th anniversary rubber set: https://sslrelay.com/s74326199.onea...nid=154165c796228b3/shopdata/index.shopscript

Now, over in the Mk4 golf section they had these - described as golf mk4 337 rubbers: https://sslrelay.com/s74326199.onea...nid=154165c796228b3/shopdata/index.shopscript

Same pics and same order number. Can anyone confirm if these are the same as the Cupra R pedals? I gather they should fit my '99 Toledo. Interesting thing is, in the SEAT (Leon) section on VAG parts they are listed at £29.89 and in the Golf section the price is £39.97!! Is this simply a case of charging VW owners more for the same parts?! Pays to shop around even on the same site huh!

.....and £39.97 for the same pedals for the Bora! As you say exactly the same part number on their site.

Pexhh - just put 'Leon Pedals' in the search facility on the VAGparts site.

I can not see the pictures... is it normal?
Ah, sorry - I thought I had linked to each page, so yeah as Cojjer said just search for Seat and then Golf Mk 4 pedals. (edit: Just type in pedals in search and you see the whole list - Beetle pedals also same price as Leon £29.89)

Can anyone confirm though if these are the same as the LCR pedals?

Thanks, that's useful to know - as they've used an identical set of pics to depict both types. I think I'll be going the anniversary route anyway.

Cheers

I'd be grateful for a mini-review of whatever you get.

I assume you are buying some rubbers as the SLCR pedals are metal and slippy?

Hi,

I went with the Golf anniversary set (can't myself confirm if they're identical to LCR as I haven't seen LCR ones in the flesh). They are as in the pic - aluminium with grippy rubber nodules. I find them to grip very well - so much so that I find my clutch foot drags with the pedal and I find my car mat (not attached with clips) moves with my heel. I guess with my old rubbers my foot used to slip fractionally as I depressed the clutch - but not any more! I don't know how quickly the rubber may wear and compromise grip? Time will tell, or someone else on here may be able to report back.

The pedals were a bit fiddly to fit but perseverance paid off. I may post a pic up at some point as I've also recently fitted some drilled aluminium dead pedals (left and right) that I made myself. I had bought a left dead pedal off someone on here but I found the shape had changed between '99 and '00 models so it didn't fit. I borrowed the idea and found they weren't too difficult to make - they suit the anniversary pedals very well.
