hi i have an 51plate Ibiza Cupra R and it is not boosting properly as from yesterday!!!

i have had it looked and and none of the boost pipes seem to be broken or split. so quite unaware of what this can be???

i have not owned this car for very long, and already have done a full service and cambelt kit and water pump, and now its not BOOSTING properly. if anyone knows any thing i can have checked, to help me get closer to finding the problem!!!
PLEASE

seat tried today, for some reason it will not communicate, the loom in the engine is ok, but not in the dashboard, so a new set of dials is on order so they can re do it, as it gets read form there, apperntly?? and the imboliser is done thro this too so well will have to get this done by them, but they will find it hard gettin the codes off of it, as its does not communicate!!!

has any1 had this fault, or any ideas in what it could be, so we can narrow it down a bit more,

cheers

pull instrument fuse and it will communicate

vag-com will help.. possible limp mode, possible leaky pipe, possible n75 as people have said

"pull instrument fuse and it will communicate"

I have not got a boost gauge so cant see what it is boosting at.
Sorry im a girl, so don't know where the instrument fuse is located, is it under the steering wheel or in the engine bay??
Seat ave told me to buy some new speedo dials as not communicating, which are bout £190 +vat just so that they can test turbo.
I have found some second had ones on ebay for alot cheaper wud u advice buying them.

this is the fuse list, I'm not sure which is the instrument fuse but someone on here will be able to tell you... id say its either 10 or 26? Either of these will be inside the car not in the engine bay.

you're better off getting it on vag-com first before paying out for new clocks, it could be many things causing the problem, I had a boost problem last week and it was as simple as a VAC hose splitting going to the N112...

i have had a vag-com done but will not work wont communicate, which is why ther sayin i have to buy new dials before i can even see what the problem is wit my car.
If the fuse was broke wouldn't the dails not work and other electronics??
thanks for help will ask them bout fuses tho and see what they say.

I think what Bill was suggesting and correct me if im wrong, is that if you disconect the fuse, it will comunicate as per usual...
might be worth giving this a try... if the clocks work I dont see any reason why they would need replacing :S ...
do you have another seat dealer or vag dealer local? it might be worth trying another, they could just be pulling a fast one... or see if someone on here local can give they're vag-com a go...

if it turns out you really need to replace the clocks you could fit second hand ones yes, im sure it'd be a lot cheaper.

do you know anyone else with an ibiza cupra? you need to try a different n75...

Dials are working fine, part from the black square in the middle at bottom which has the "P" parking sign on it, well did on my 1.4 has fallen behind or is missing.
Wud this not make them work properly.

Have actually got print out of what seat sed was wrong wit it which will prob make more sense then me trying to explain lol.

"Investigated loss of power. Unable to communicate with engine control unit.
Remove dash panel insert and engine control unit, check communication wire between engine and dash using cfd's, all ok.
checked communication with other control units. unable to communicate with engine ecu or dash.
suspect dash unit faulty stopping communication with engine control unit."

as for the 'P' not all cupras have them, dont know why. so yours maybe one without

if you need some clocks i can sell you some cheaper than ebay. got 4 sets

if i were you i would ditch off the SEAT dealer because they never seem to have a clue. get your self to a vag specialist. where are you from?

ive also got an n75 if you need one
