cupra R ecu

ive got a standard ibiza cupra and im wondering if the cupra R ecu will work in it and make it 180bhp just by plugging it in. and if so does anyone know where i can get one?

i would get a remap but i dont want mpg to go down too much cos i do a few miles to work nd back.

a new ECU will cost more than a remap anyway

a decent remap won't cause your mpg to drop - the turbo only runs on boost when heavily loaded, so part throttle will have no difference

you would need to get the new ECU programmed into the car to work with the immobiliser etc. so ur probably best just shelling out for the Remap.
