Cupra R Diagnosis/Excess Pollution Light

Dear All,

Just drove back from work and my Cupra R diagnosis/Excess of pollution light is constantly lit. Restarting the car had no affect. The car is behaving normally even though that light is lit but I have just contacted the AA just to be sure. Any ideas?

cat might be on the way out... or the 2nd sensor is mullered (more likely)

The excess pollution light is the engine warning light.

Could be a huge list of problems or it may not even be a problem! You should really get the fault read so you know whether to ignore it or not! I had 3 faults the last time my ecu was checked but none of them were anything to worry about!

Disconnect battery for 10mins and the warning light will go out!

AA man came last night and pluged his laptop into the car. He said that there was a fault logged, can't remember the whole message but something to do with excess pollution. He had no fix for it but reset it and after driving around the block the light did not come back on.

my light came on. I took it to stealers and there said it was censer on the cooling system.

After washing the Leon yesterday I later turned the ignition on a started to drive and noticed my diagnostics light was on permanently and still this morning it is on whilst driving it is not flashing but any ideas as to whether this is just caused by water/damp creeping in there from the wash or more than likely something more expensive?
