as titled are the leon cupra r 210 rad fans the same as a golf mk4 or totally different, just like to know...

just seen some golf mk4 fans on ebay and guess what.....they look the same and they have the 2 diagonal holes on the left hand side where the electric run on pump fits... im guessing there the same just need someone with more knowledge than me to confirm

what year golf are they from and what year leon? i could check if the part numbers are the same on ETKA maybe..

yes they are the same but only for certian engine codes off the golf

AQN = V5 golf
BDE = V6 golf 2.8
ARL = 1.9 tdi (150 HP)

the fans are actually the same as mk4 emotion fans are the same parts number on frame where it shows the 2 part numbers for the 2 fans plus the diagonal holes are there for the electric water pump..just fitted mine and work a treat then again... i never noticed they wasnt working in the frist place

i have been informed engine code is not that important where the fans are concened, aslong as there for aircon most golfs around 2002 - 2004 use the same fan set up, if you look at the seat fan frame its exactley the same as the golf mk4 emotion

Newbie here, but i do own a mk4 golf, the fans are the same, so they are in the same as they also can be faulty or go faulty, it has been even heard of that the newer fans go. on both manual aircon and climatronic!

The big thing to use in the mk4 world is a NIME box! although this does not always cure the problem.

I just dont want people to think to fix there fan fault they can buy any golf mk4 fan unit as they are prone to the fault too.

its not about fixing the problem..its just a cheaper soultion to buying the fans from the stealers plus the nimes box only gives you slow speed back, so if your fans are both knackered the nimes box is redundante ..and my fans cost less than the nimes box
