CUPRA letters on back of car...

Hi all

i bought a leon cupra last year, and it had red CUPRA letters stuck on across the back of the car. One of the letters has now fallen, and i want to get some new ones to replace it.

Does anyone know where i can get them from? The letters are pretty big, and go from one side to the other of the rear of my car.

Hi CJ. The mk1 Leon didn't come with CUPRA lettering across the bootlid, only the Cupra R came with LEON across the bootlid so it would suggest that the lettering on your car has been added by the previous owner. The letters you have seem to have been sprayed red as they are only chrome effect from new. Your best bet would be to contact you SEAT dealer and obtain a new CUPRA badge from a MK2 Leon Cupra and then spray the letters again so the colour matches.

ebay mate, you can pick up them up within 15 quid. seen lots of them on there. its been added to your car by a previous owner so maybe dealer wont have it.dont quote me though.

Yeh red ones on ebay, silver from ebay or dealers. I think the red ones are larger.

Thanks, for all your help guys. By the looks of the responses, i reckon the letters were put on by my previous owner, as it's got the usual cupra badge on the back, but then also has CUPRA in big letters across the boot lid.

It looks like it's going to be a right pain trying to get one missing letter (the C), so i might have to take them all off.

Yeah, thanks adam cupra 20vt and Dyscontinued. I'm watching the items now and will buy them i reckon. They are different to the ones on the back of my car, but i reckon i can take those ones off, and replace it with the ones from ebay.

Why not save your money and just remove the letters all together? Debadges bootlids looks so much better IMO, I did mine and haven't looked back.

Yeah that's not a bad idea. It really depends on how well the old letters come off. If they come off badly, then the new letters might have to mask the problem. Fingers crossed.

Mine is badgeless apart from the Cupra R badges at the bottom right, I still like to strick fear into those Punto drivers that close in behind me at traffic lights

ive debadged.. but had to use lots of t-cut, damn yellow car. but it just looks so much tidier with golf mkv wiper and no badges!

I respaced the LEON lettering on mine, looks better than the Cupra one (too big !)
