Cupra front brake discs problem

Help !

Recently my front brakes have started to grind. It's only done 15k miles and was serviced at 10k. Discs and pads are all original factory fit.

I took it to the local dealer and they found that the inside of the front discs have got loads of strange dark spots and patches in random places. This is believed to be what is causing the grinding.

They say they have not seen this before and are sending a report to SEAT.

I can see myself having a battle to get them changed under warranty as they have already said there is a 6k mile limit on the warranty for discs.

Anyone got any experience of this or any advice ?

Only thing I can remember on here about discs and pads were that H8 TWP changed his front pads and discs on his Cupra also at approx 15k miles as they were both "done".

Really?
I looked at my pads a couple of days ago (8000 miles) and they looked like new, probably 12-14mm on them (of friction material).
It's surprising how tiny the pads are compared to the calipers!

Do you have any pictures of the discs?
