Hello All. I hope you can help provide me with a supplier for Official CUPRA Parts for my Formentor. (other than the dealer)

So -- new cars, are they made of Cheese? More specifically my Formentor? In the past three months I have managed to send a massive bolder down the side of the car, taking a chunk out of the under-sill and bottom door panel. I hit Pheasant at 50 mph and pushed the front vent into the wheel arch and most recently I hit a Pigeon, which Storm Franklin saw fit to blow into my path at 68 mph which as cracked the front Grill.

Question is. Should I expect this kind of damage when hitting bird life (obviously not on purpose, I don't want to make this a habit) because the car is made of substandard plastics (🧀) or is there an issue here?

In any case, I'd like to replace the parts - interdependently of the the main dealer. As this is superficial damage rather than 'warranty' repairs. But I can't find the part numbers of the aforementioned.

Any help much appreciated.

I would say you have been very unlucky - BUT - the damage is not unusual for animal strikes at over 50 mph.
Pretty sure other cars would come away with similar damage under the same situation.

That’s quite a few hits mate, but at those speeds I’d say that damage is to be expected. I hit a pigeon at 70ish on the motorway in the wife’s old corsa. Crack the grille in multiple places, popped the bumper out of place on the drivers side too. On the plus side, the guy behind me tailgating backed right off after being covered in feathers and the rest of it 😂

Gah! Yes, I am cursed. Never hit so much bird-life in my life.:cry:

I had Seat Leon ST FR Technology DSG 2.0L 184PS previously and that was like a tank, never had any wobbly plastics issues. Which is why I posted to see if anyone else has had issues with plastics. I guess I am just unlucky hitting two birds within the last three months.
