Those fake grills look pretty cheap, right? Do you know what is behind them?
It would look super cool to crack those fake holes open and same in the back where are those small ones..

One word, aerodynamics

They are fillled in to direct the air around the side of the bumper, opening them up would just scoop the air into the front with no where for it to go.

I can agree with the fact that they do look kind of cheap.. The ones in the back doesn´t bother me, but in the front.. I mean, how much performance/fuel economy would you really loose if the would have been "the real thing"? But i wouldn´t do it by my self with a saw or a drill, would probably look even worse after i´m done

I agree they are a little large. I think the ones on the FR are about the right size.
